Preparation for our precise peels is is dependent on the type of peel you require and you skin barrier strength. A superficial or light peel generally does not require prepping. However, your skin therapist may recommend a basic skincare routine to optimise results and protect your skin. For more intense peels, you will require the use of skincare before treatments for a minimum of 2-4 weeks.
The preparation your skin required will be determined during your consultation.

One week prior to treatment please avoid waxing, electrolysis, Laser hair Removal, retinoids,retinoid-like compounds (Retina-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac), products containing Retinol, AHAs, BHAs, Benzoyl Peroxides or any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating on the treated area. If you are doing a precise peel that has required prescribed at-home care your clinician will advise what products should and shouldn’t be used prior to treatment.

For most individuals, some redness may be visible and light flaking begins 48 hours post-treatment, the shedding process can last for 2-7 days depending on the clinical peel performed, some minor whiteheads may appear post-treatment depending on your skins health and the peel completed

The treatment is not painful however you may experience temporary redness, stinging and warm flushing sensations, during the next few hours you may also feel tightening of the skin.

You can get a chemical peel treatment every 2-4 weeks depending on your skin type, preparation and the chemical peel being completed.
